Havana, August 15 (acn) Eighteen students from the localities of St.
Mary and West Portland in Jamaica are pursuing degrees in medicine,
nursing, engineering, sports medicine and physiotherapy in different
parts of Cuba.
The students are based at various universities along the island, such as
Havana's Latin American School of Medicine, the University of
Cienfuegos, and the School Rauldilio Fleitas Martinez in the province o
Matanzas.
Harry Douglas, state minister in the Ministry of Local Government and
Member of Parliament for South East St. Mary , said the results to date
have been 'extremely good.', as reported by Caribbean media outlets.
